Carolyn C. Kaufman, MBA, CFP®, CPA, LL.D., Director of Prim Capital Corporation, is a nationally known expert in financial planning, tax management and wealth enhancement. Before joining Prim Capital, she owned and operated Kaufman & Company Financial Planning, Inc.

She heads Prim's Financial Planning Division, where she directs the Firm's planning engagements with high net-worth individuals and institutional clients and Prim Securities, the firm's broker dealer.

She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Myers University with a BS in Business Administration and received her MBA from Cleveland State University. Carolyn was a tenured professor of Accounting at Myers University where she co-chaired the Department of Accounting. As a CPA she worked with KPMG prior to joining the faculty at Cleveland State University as a professor of accounting. While at Cleveland State and Myers University, Carolyn was designated "Outstanding Accounting Professor" on multiple occasions.

Author of more than 30 publications, she has presented more than 500 seminars throughout the United States. She has been the National Financial Planning Spokesperson for American General Life Insurance Company as well as Chairperson of the Advisory Council for American General Securities. She designed and directed the quality control program for the financial planning arm of Manufacture's Life Insurance Company. The US Department of the Navy also selected her to be one of it's Financial Educators.

Since 1980, Carolyn has been a frequent commentator on ABC, NBC, PBS and Fox affiliates and has broadcast on numerous radio shows. She has served as a trustee of Myers University, a Mentor for the National Financial Planning Association's Residency Program and then a Dean of that program. For the National Financial Planning Association, she has also served as an Adjunct Program Coordinator for the Midwest region, a tract planner and leader for two national conferences and has been recently appointed to the FPA Tax Committee.

Carolyn is a member of numerous industry-specific associations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of CPAs and the Financial Planning Association.
